Cardinal Family,

Unfortunately, the areas we were unable to run bus routes in this morning remain unsafe for bus traffic. The lack of sun and sub-freezing temperatures did not allow the ice/snow to melt enough.

Therefore, buses will not travel the following stretch of roads: from the corner of 12th St and State St, along "E 140th St N," N 117th E Ave, and 138th St N, where N 105th E Ave meets 136th St N.

Change to Bus Routes - Jan. 30th
Dear Cardinal Family,

We will resume classes tomorrow, January 30th. Mother Nature has done quite a bit of work today. However, we will not be able to operate some bus routes tomorrow morning due to road conditions.

Buses will not travel the following stretch of roads: from the corner of 12th St and State St, along "E 140th St N," N 117th E Ave, and 138th St N, where N 105th E Ave meets 136th St N. This affects eight elementary stops and five secondary stops. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please use caution tomorrow morning, as some roadways may refreeze overnight. As a result, we understand that some students may arrive late to school, and we will be very lenient regarding tardiness under these conditions.

Thank you for your support and understanding this week as we navigate the impact of the winter storm.

Best regards, Dr. Hogan

Dear Cardinal Family,

I want to inform you that tomorrow, January 29th, will be a distance learning day.

Although we have seen some improvement on roadways today, most neighborhood streets and side roads remain too hazardous for our buses and young drivers to navigate safely.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will reassess the situation tomorrow and notify you of the status for Friday by early evening.

Best Regards, Dr. Hogan

Distance Learning Day - Thursday, Jan. 29th
Dear Cardinal Family,

Tomorrow, January 28th, will be a distance learning day. Although our campuses are in fairly good condition, many neighborhood and side roads remain snow-packed and hazardous.

Distance Learning - Weds., Jan. 28th

Cardinal Family,

Tomorrow, January 27th, will be a snow day. Crews have done a fantastic job clearing our campuses, but many roads in the district remain snow-packed. We hope that Mother Nature will improve the road conditions enough by tomorrow so we can resume in-person classes on Wednesday.

If we need to cancel in-person classes on Wednesday, we plan to have a distance-learning day.

Please stay safe and warm!

Warm regards, Dr. Hogan

Snow Day - January 27th
25 days ago, Brad Cantrell
Dear Cardinal Family,

Tomorrow, January 26th, will be a snow day. Our crews are currently working on campuses today and will continue clearing them tomorrow. I will provide you with sufficient advance notice about Tuesday, but it does not look promising that we will be in session.

While driving around the district, my biggest concern is that most neighborhoods and major roads are challenging to navigate without a four-wheel-drive vehicle. We will assess the campuses and road conditions around midday tomorrow and will keep you informed on school status.

Enjoy the snow, but be sure to bundle up!

Warm regards, Dr. Hogan

Today, we are proud to recognize our Collinsville Teachers of the Year, who were selected by their peers. This honor means so much because it comes from the people who work beside them every day and see firsthand the dedication, passion, and heart they pour into their students and school.

Thank you for representing Collinsville so well and for making a difference every single day. We are proud to have you in our Cardinal family.
